I think the frogspawn is starting to look a bit better finally. Maybe liking the tank brighter

I’m really happy with the new protein skimmer so far. Surprisingly, it seems to be pulling more skimmate than my in-sump one ever has. Just worried it’ll be a pain to clean.

That makes me wonder if that has something to do with pulling the dirty water direct from the source instead of it traveling through the plumbing to the sump.?

The tank is starting to get overgrown with gha. I just did a water change and added some more flow to the more concentrated areas, so I’m not really sure what else I can do. Still not sure why the foxface won’t eat it, I haven’t been home for the last 4 days so I haven’t been feeding him.

The corals have been looking better recently, especially the frogspawn.

Here’s an update since I haven’t done one for awhile. The tank just turned a year old the beginning of last month.
The gha problem is finally starting to go away after feeding slightly less along with cutting the light period from 11-12 to 9 hrs.

In December, I decided to restart the 20 gal completely after getting taken over by bubble algae, so I put the damsel in the 55 gal and it’s been a model citizen so far

The mandarins tail has almost completely grown back and seems to be overall healthy and happy.
