BTA ate my peppermint shrimp... Any chance he will host a Sexy shrimp?

My BTA ate my Peppermint Shrimp after 4 weeks together. We saw it, was kind of intense. I tried to pull him out and all i got was a whisker. I would like to add a shrimp again, would it likely eat, or host a sexy shrimp?

Lol your lucky , peppermint shrimp ate a couple tentacles from my BTA. Cleaner shrimp I’ve noticed are usually accepted by BTAs they don’t really host but will occasionally crawl around in the nem, also emerald crabs use anemones as cover so kinda hosting per se

Are you sure it wasn’t a molt of the shrimp ? Shrimps like to hide after they molt because they are very venerable.

It was for the shrimp, we watched him wiggle around in there.

I personally dont like keeping shrimp with anemones because they always harass them and pull food away from the anemones. Really suprising that the bta snagged a peppermint never heard of this happening before.

Sounds like a freak thing. Any shrimp, including sexy shrimp should be fine with a bubble tip
