Hello reefers, i have a mild outbreak of bubble algea in my frag tank. I have been manually removing it, but the battle doesn't end. Is there a fish or invert that i can add to my tank to eat this problem away? If not, what's the best way to fix this issue?

No real fix, unfortunately one it takes hold. Either live with it or start over.

Emerald crabs should do the trick!

I will pick up a few with high hopes, at least 5. If it doesn't work out, they are definitely fun to watch.
Watch your soft and LPs corals as well. They will eat em.

Remove most of them manually when doing a small water change because when they pop, they basically spread.
Combine that with emeralds. I had a crab and bubble algae and all are gone now.

I had a small outbreak and used vibrant and it got rid of it all. Didn’t work as well on the green hair algae but it did help with that as well.

Depending on the size of the bubbles a foxface or rabbit fish often times will eat them along with some tangs.

I bought a bottle of vibrant months ago and i have been nervous to use it on my sps dominate system. Did you see any negitive effects from using Vibrant?

I did have luck with emeralds on bubble in my DT but it did take some time. I kept 4-5 in there at a time. It is hit/miss though.

Keep an eye out on your overflow too. Bubbles liked to hide in there where the light gets through.

interesting, I'm currently using it (week 3, 3rd dose was added on monday) and I have not seen any negative effects yet. How long were you dosing before your zoas started to melt?

I dose 18ml since I have a 180 twice a week. No other changes and I keep my nutrients higher. P04 around .08
