Mr Bubblemytip.
Also in NZ (AKL - Hunua) and building a 85G - 325l tank...900 x 600 x 600

Your build thread has been an inspiration, would be Ok if I PM'ed you for your thoughts?
I am at the stand build stage, tank is looking at me.

DIY is more my style so i am building LED lights (Blue acro + T5) and Robo tank controller.
have all the parts... Large heats sinks - no fans! Light will be dimmable, including the T5's with a Osam ballets.
All controlled with the reef Pi- Robo tank.

My last tank was 900l +sump and PLC controlled, 12 years ago and so much has changed so i am reading and catching up. Only LPS and anemone (huge).. I want SPS this time... love your tank but much to learn to do this.

I had Tunze on my last tank, loved them and Deltec Skimmer, love that too.. but I like your skimmer... I was / am looking at a Deltec 600i. I am struggling to find Tunze sellers in NZ. Seems like we have to purchase from over seas? What are you thoughts? I was looking at a pair of 6095 pumps with a 7096 controller, they have a wide flow.

Hell - I have so many notes written I am confusing myself..LOL
cheers
Arron

Hey Arron. Sure. Send me a PM. Sounds like a fun build.

Deltec skimmer is all right. I prefer the AC skimmer version. Uses an aqua bee rather than jebao pump.

the Red Sea skimmers seem all right value in NZ. Otherwise our options are quite limited, and I have had to order stuff from overseas when wanting quality.

two 6095s would work well to start with. Depends on your scape. But can always add more later.

tunze stuff sometimes comes up for sale second hand. Sometimes. Haha

Just to add I used to purchase from Aloas out West in Akl.
Alois is still around. :)

I'll post some of the latest pics on here shortly, but I will be closing down this tank.

The tank has matured nicely and some of the coral is actually about to grow out of the water, but I have noticed a potential issue with the front right silicone seam (air bubble), so I have bought a new tank (Red Sea Peninsula 500) that I will be setting up shortly (will also post link to that thread) and transferring frags of my favourite pieces across and starting it up with a new scape.

Thanks. Yea, much better to be cautious and sleep well. Duty of care to the livestock and all.

Here are some of the latest pics:

and here is the bubble in the silicone:

So I’ll use the new build as a chance to fix a few minor annoyances, tidy wiring more now that I have settled on equipment I like and maybe try a few new corals in time!

You can adjust the channels. But at 100% everything, it's probably about 14Kish.
any updates about the GNC? Currently, I am using Radion xr15 G5 Pro, and want to try a "blanket panel style led". Have been considering ATI Straton but it's unavailable everywhere. So, I have my eyes on the GNC Bluray M Pro. Need more of your inputs. Thanks.

I have my new build on here too (link below). No real comment on the GNCs other than that I remain very happy with them and the corals are growing and colouring well.
