I’m back in the reef keeping fun after a 15 year hiatus… maybe it was the recurring nightmare of giant aquariums in my basement which had HUGE fish, or the moving every 4 years that got me out of it.

But the pandemic and a nano-tank in an office, with a super great owner, got me back in.

I have a 32 G BioCube that I set up in July of 2020.
What I’ve added:
BioCube Protein skimmer
Artica Chiller
Apex EL Controller — have had lots of problems with the base unit adn am waiting for the 3rd one over 2 years to come… it died during a software update last week. I fear I’ve lost all my history
Titanium heater with back up
Soon to add — Blue atinic LED light strips.
I’ve added a protein skimmer and a chiller

Structure:
Manufactures rock — total of 27 pounds
Glued together to form an arch
30 pounds sand

Vertebrates:
2 clowns — bonded to anemones, but not yet differentiated into distinct genders. They are close to 2 years old. Very traditional looking
1 Damsel Azure Chrypsiptera
1 Fairy Goby

Corals:
Mostly softies.
Zoas
Bubble tip anemones
Leather Finger coral —- really growing well
Can’t get my list from Apex — need to figure out how to get my logs from them… so frustrating.

Recent Changes:

*Apex base unit died and then I started looking on this forum. I decided to change my lighting schedule by increasing the LC3 from 11 am to 10 pm to 7 am to 12 MN. Increased LC2 from 4 hours to now 8 hours… Hopefully I won’t burn anyone. I’ll add the new lighting very slowly when it comes.

Thanks for the compliment. I did it with manufactured rock. I had an arch on my old tank and used to like to watch the fish swim back and forth through it.
