A-B-C
This took some serious effort, cables needed taped and straightened. Couldn’t believe the length and weight of this. Taped altogether and fed through. 15meters
2 float wire (ato/awc)
4 electric (2 ring main)
2 16mm tubing (awc)
6 6mm tubing (ato/dosing)

Hatch Wiring
WiFi moved to kitchen. 2 double sockets wired and placed under hatch. Heart and soul separate wiring with future prep for battery backup too. All leading to garage to a new consumer unit for garage, tank, outside etc. Cables to go to dosing and mixing stations.

Loads and loads to do beyond this, but a little priority list is needed.
  • Underground
    • Drill Hole in Garage
    • Run Pipe from Garage to Fridge
    • Run Cables/Tubing/Wiring from A-B-C (garage to living room)
    • Move WIFI/blackbox to Kitchen
    • Wire 2 double sockets under hatch (Tank can come in at this point)
    • Wire Consumer Unit
    • Wire Battery Backup Changeover
    • Plumb dosing/ato/awc
  • Sump
    • Cut Out ATO Res,
    • Wrap Sump
    • Glue Bumblebee
    • UV Fittings
  • Move Tank into living Room
    • Level
    • Cable Management
    • Prepare for getting WET (another list)
Level is good, front to back perfect, left to right maybe wud need to rise it 3mm, i dont think its worth it, especially when fill and let settle with weight.

Did a mini order to get some fittings for dosing lines, and spent 105 quid on 5x 4 wifi extension leads. So during week now hopefully be able to tackle sump, cable management and get tank in final place. Ready for the big order (still waiting for stuff to come in stock).

I need to plane right door, and would like to add another coat too. Might take both doors off to leave perfect and then stain fully. Need to little bit of internal weir plumbing too.

Hopefully tackle all this and get the big order maybe ordered? hopefully have consumer unit wired (not battery) and plumbing all completed.

Im soo close I can smell the salt...

Canopy Management
Really Happy that I was able to bring all those canopy cables down and not in sight of sump (thought I was gonna have to do a mesh to hide it).

T5 Test

Had to plug in bulbs as they go into 4 way adapter with 2 plugs output so can control purple and blue separately. May as well take pic. T5s only.

Tank Placement
I think im happy with her here, shes lined up with a floor board, can fit hands in back and right side, sofas aren't overlapping. Chesterfield sofas 2ft tall, 3ft cabinet, 2ft tank, 1ft canopy. Its big but Im already gonna have this over stocked lol.
IMG_8381.jpg IMG_8382.jpg
Still to take doors off, readjust and add another coat :)

Sockets

So plan is 1 is the section for six WiFi plugs to plug into the heart and soul and then gets tucked in here. 2,3,4 will go off in pairs too. 2 WiFi ext per section. Hopefully works out like want, but length of equipment plugs be an issue and abundance of cables. But right mindset we shud be good, it’s all we can do.

Basic Scape
Had to get rocks to safety, middle section is for nano tanks scape, each tree (3 large) weigh just under 5kg each. Trees are to be topped with one branching sps, one goni/alveo and one euphyllia. Tree trunks going to be covered in encrusting corals then. Nano scape will be mainly softies like zoas etc. sand bed riddled with brain type corals, fungai, shrooms etc. Floating rocks not sure, would love to convince a anemone to live in one, gsp, pipeorgans etc.

Out of Stock
So im just awaiting the clarisea to come in stock to do my big order, couple other orders still to do but nothing serious.
Still to plane doors, extra coat of varnish, wrap sump, plumbing, plug everything in and hopefully we are absolutely gorgeous and then time to fill...
So this where my brain has been since I'm almost at that point, POA: disconnect ATO pump and connect straight to RODI OUTPUT, This will then fill straight into my sump/dt, I think it will take a good part of 2 days to fill. Will buy a wee hang on float valve to keep me right and check in every whip and leave space for max 16kg salt (400lit system) but we know it be no where near that.

I will then be able to test everything in tank safely and then once happy, start the heating and mixing process, adding slowly and measuring as we go so can workout quite well actual water volume for dosing etc. eg 40g of salt per 1l of water makes 34ppt so with a hanna checker shud be able to do this quite well and do a 1l 40g base test to check hanna against. I may go less salty and high temp to follow dr tims way for first week or two and then bring up when adding fish and corals. Not fully sure will know closer to time.

Start of basic plumbing. Redid the primary as less than half the tank height just freaked the **** out me. Ensuring 6/7 inches under emergency, changed the return to new bulkhead too.

Wanted to make a lid for my weir, don’t want any one taking water slides. Made it removable so can access seneye etc.

Was planning to cut the ato res out and wrap the sump during the wife’s bath but the kids won. So here is my second place prize.

Bangaii Cardinals
So in my stocking list i wanted a pair of bangaii cardinals, would be so honoured to see the male carry the eggs. My buddy had a reefer nearby with a breeding pair, so he got 6 for £50. Hes got them in a holding tank and will see if can sex them, his plan was 2 for him 2 for me and maybe 2 to keep his QT tank cycled. It cud end up 3/3 to help the odds of each of us getting a pair. Anyway its a great start! buzzing to have this waiting for me :) What a buddy!
