Almost every day we get emails from clients asking how to mount the OR BAR LED to an ATI fixture.
First of all the OR Bars come with 2 installation options: Hang Kit /Mounting brackets.

Here is some simple ideas of how to mount them:

Me too, wonder if they will send us a free light for such brilliant ideas? LOL

Where did you pick up the aluminum bars from? I have a 48" 4 bulb ati that I'm going to attach two of the blue sky's to (when they come in) and want to go this route. Looks good!!!

It is just aluminum flat bar. You can get it at Lowes or Home Depot in the hardware section. Just cut it to whatever length you want with a hacksaw, file the cut ends smooth, drill some holes and your good to go. Didn't even have to get any hardware, used the nuts and bolts that came with the light. Just make sure if your existing fixture is hanging from the ceiling that the drywall/ceiling is strong enough to support the extra weight.

Why are the bars mounted so high over the tank in this application...and what is the ideal height ?

I added two of the 35” bars end to end across the front of my tank 72” tank. I angled them in a little. Along with the two V4s, it made a HUGE difference in terms of eliminating shadows and filling the tank with light. I did the sky blues but had them add four whites per bar. Completely happy with them!

Hi Hot 2na ,
When you order the OR there is 3 types of lens
120 degree 90 degree and 60 degree .
The last one is more focused .
So you mostly can hang it more high then the other . This store did some test for few month till the orderd so many units . From the picture it might look like it high but it probably about 20-30 cm above the water giving them space to work at the tank . Looking at the far aquarium you can see it is 40cm and the light is 20cm above the water .

do just to be clear, your current lineup of OR120 bars will soon be dimmable and controllable via phone app?
Jase , yes
Every client that already bought can buy a small box that will enter btw the driver and the light . This box will dim the light .

So now we can have multiple OR120 bars at various levels of brightness?

If so then that is what I will do for my next reef as I was disappointed that there is not an option for a light between your UV and daylight blue (Your options are either too purple or light blue) and I would like a traditional actinic blue. However if I could have the UV at 20% and the daylight blue at 80% via my phone app then this would do what I want.

Hi Jase , I think you did not read this thread .
Many people here built thy own ratio spectrum ,
You just ask what LEDs you want to put and we built your color , it is just for extra 5$ .

Can I dim the light using 0-10v? How much is that dimming functionality cost per bar?

you can not dim the light with 0-10V because the driver is not dim driver. the solution is not been done yet so there is not cost .

Just added the OR120 in blue sky to add to my two V4s to cover the back of the aquarium a little better and man, these things are awesome! Great price for what you get for sure.
Are your lights in a canopy or hanging? If hanging, how did u mount them w/ the v4s?

Have just ordered a 90cm Blue Sky to supplement my ATI Sirius led, my tank is 90cm front to back...
Has anyone found a mounting bracket that'll mount a single bar on a rimless/open top tank? I'm looking at the mounts for the Giesseman Pulzar led bar, l reckon they could be modified to mount an Orphek bar.
