The new bars look awesome. Good job! I love how you've used so many different LEDs in the blue plus.

Any chance they will come in an optional white finish? ;)

These can be pretty easily attached to the aquatic life hybrid fixtures as well, from the side.

Take the ends off and slide a threaded nut in and it works great

I tried my best to make sure the green on the sides was gone but it's still there. I think I worded my emails wrong to make sure this didn't happen. Arghhh

Only orphek this time. All green on the sides

These things really are bright. I wish the blending was a little better though.

Yeah, that's a lot of green there. I have a shallow tank, so maybe some diffusion would help with the color blending? I have two more 60's on the way, so we'll see how everything looks without the T5's? I might run my ap700's with a little more daylight setting, less blue.

This is the OR2. The ends are 495 on this one. I don’t recommend it this way. I had to shut it off
They've since changed the arrangement of the diodes. I have the OR2 60 with the 495 and 490 on the ends, but just ordered two more with the new arrangement, so we'll see how it blends? Since my lights are only 9" or 10" from the water and my tank is only 16" deep, I might find a way to diffuse them? I'm not too worried about par reduction and prefer better blending over par. I bet if they're hung at least 16" over the water, they'll blend better.

What diffuser do you have? I'm gonna see if I cant buy some blue diodes for the ends. I cant handle that green. I tried again last night, just cant do it.

None at the moment. It might be a diy thing? A very thin piece of frosted acrylic may do the trick or whatever material other lights use to make diffusers? I think someone in the lighting forum mentioned a source, I'll have to search when I have time.

Spectral text By Dana Riddle of Orphek OR2 Reef day plus
“Here's some spectral data on a 120cm (48") Reef Daylight Plus LED luminaire. Shown are overall output (taken at 30" from light), UV output, and infrared out (this is of particular interest since radiation at 740nm can be absorbed by Photosystem I's Pigment 700, thus preventing possible electron bottlenecks and damage to Photosystem II.)”

My two custom OR 120s are still amazing.... I love the acropora coloration I’m getting.

It was definitely the right choice to custom order 2x Blue/UV/Violet bars instead of having one of each color. The color blending is great.

Are you only using the light bars in this photo? I'm considering your lighting configuration, but its hard to tell if this is the actual representation or are they supplementing another fixture. If not, is there any way to get a shot of just the light bars in action?

I really like the orphek lights but it makes it hard to get a true idea of what the bars only look like.
