Hi, the controller is at advanced stage. And we upgrad the LEDs to the same LEDs as we use at the Atlantik. New model of LEDs from 2020 dual chip 5w. The power will keep the same.

Stupid question but can anyone point to how exactly you have mounted the led bar to ATI sunpower dimmable unit ? Specifically screws used
No, it’s not a stupid question. This is a question that I have as well, and it’s difficult to wade through sixty-four pages to find an answer.

I have a 36” non-dimmable SunPower that I’m looking to get Orphek bars for. I don’t want to modify my SunPower to accommodate LED strips, so I’ve been searching for a clean way to install the light strips. However, I have been unable to find information about the following:
  • Are there brackets that connect the Orphek bars to the SunPower without creating holes in the SunPower?
  • Does the SunPower need to be modified in any way to accept the Orphek bars?

I bit the bullet and used self tapping screws to hook up the led to the sunpower

I still love my @Orphek LED bars! Amazing growth and color.

How did you mount them to your SunPower? Did you drill new holes in the SunPower? I’d love to get some of these bars, but I’m trying to find a way to attach them without drilling new holes in my SunPower.

I don’t think I put new holes in, I just stuck self tapping screws into the existing holes.

Of course that does expand the holes and prevent you from using the old screws again

Very nice. I see you have the UV bar. Is the other the blue plus? How are your corals reacting to these lights? Thanks.
I just added the UV yesterday and the other is a blue plus that I added 3 months ago. They add about 200 par to 6” below the surface so I ramped the blue up in 15 min increments every 5 days until it is now on for 4 1/2 hrs a day. My sps are showing great color under the extra par so I would say they have really liked it. I plan on ramping the UV up the same way till I get it to match the other bar. I raises the par on the bottom of my tank (in the front where the bar is) from about 150 prior to the bar to about 250 which should help me grow acro’s and monti’s in the front of the tank. We will see how the Zoa’s react to the higher light but I’m not concerned as I have some under 400+ par and they are thriving just have to acclimate them slowly

I have an atlantic V2 and I want to add one bar to help with a little bit of shadowing specifically an OR2 90 blue plus. Will the dimmer in the future that you guys are working on allow it to be conrtolled in the ap like the atlantik? Whats the ETA on this as I will likely just wait until they are controllable to be apart of my heavy clouds and day schedule.

Well, I just read through this entire thread and I’m sold. Do you all believe 2 48” bars would be sufficient for a 4ft 120g that’s going to be a lps and softie mixed reef?

I think it's a good start. The great thing is you can always add another later.
