In the UK we have been told there are new models coming g out using the 5w chips soon but as with most things Orohek we aren't holding our breaths. They have been supposedly working on a new program for the gateway to improve it which is well over due.

Easier and better programming as the software sucks and is laborious to use.

The "OR3" has underdriven 5 watt LEDs instead of the 3 watt they were using.

Both OR 2 and OR3 to announce soon are having the same spectrum same par and same watt. When use dual chip the power is splits btw the 2 LEDs chip . So each one run 50% of the power . This give longer life . And almost not loose the intensity over the years.

I emailed them 2 days ago, said OR3 is available to ship. I dont think they have 150 though. 2 weeks to ship due to covid. $190 and free shipping.

I just got my 35” or3’s yesterday and am going to hang them today. I’ve owned a blue and uv or1 and a blue and full spectrum or2. I didn’t care for the or1’s as they really changed the color of the water in the tank but the or2’s looked way better. I built a new hood and the 4 footers didn’t quite fit. These three foot bars don’t go end to end but cover as much as my atlantik and compact. I’m just hoping to get a little more coverage and a hair more par. Time to hang and admire
