Hey guys, is there a bit of a tutorial somewhere with how to steps for replacing diodes? I have the ends off and screws out of the glass cover at this stage - just don't want to force anything that I shouldn't.

I thought somewhere in this lengthy thread posted about replacing them? But I could be wrong?

Just received two new OR2 60 blue plus bars today and I have to say that moving the 490 and 495 diodes made the difference on this particular model. I'm not sure about the bigger sizes, but the 60 is nice. I'll know for sure once they're mounted. I'll take the time and move the diodes on my first bar, eventually. Maybe once the diffuser is in place it won't be necessary?

Thinking about getting an or120 uv for my ati sunpower. Wondering if the mounting brackets that are included fit right into the existing holes in the fixture

Thanks mate. I followed that one from a few pages back but the board that the leds are mounted to (OR120) doesn't want to slide out the end as described.

Hi, quick question, i have a real tight space for these and for the OR90 (900mm/34 7/16 inches) does this measurement include the "cord bushing/nut" that sticks out of the one side or is it just edge to edge of the fixture itself?
Hi Fishgu.
Please check This

Before I mount my new OR2 60's, I thought I would take a few pics and grab some par #'s

With both mounting options on (for reference)

At 20" in the air the PAR was 107, 125, 130, 127, 101 (1st reading at end, last closest to plug)
At 10 1/2" in the air the PAR was 260, 235, 292, 255, 130 (2nd & 4th #'s under the 490/495 diodes for both heights)
The average PUR reading was between 80% - 82% on both tests.

@Orphek will the cord be sticking out of the end of the or150? How are we supposed to hide the cord? I don’t understand why the cords are placed at the end of the light like that. My plan was to use three or bars and have them mounted using two metal tubes and have the cords hidden inside but the cord protruding out the end will look ridiculous from one side of the tank. Not sure what I will do now.

How far apart is everyone placing the bars? I have mine about 4 inches and I don’t see it blending well. Just to give you an idea on par, I have an average of 230 with 4 over 24x24 at about 8 inches off the water.

8" off of the water isn't going to give you much blending, especially with individual led diodes. That's why I'm going to make some diy diffusers for mine. Mine sit about 9" above the water and I have a shallow tank, so blending is more important than PAR for me. I did a few PAR tests yesterday and I saw about 90 to 100 PAR increase with the OR2 over my T5 blue plus bulb(s). Once I get everything mounted, I'll post some pics.

I understand what you are saying but going higher to blend will reduce par. Maybe I’ll put them in pairs and add another one to help with blending. Or reduce the spacing to 3 inches.

You could raise them a little and just run them a little longer to make up for the PAR loss? What do you have mixed reef or sps?

Sps only frag tanks. Which is why I need high par. Came from t5 8 bulb setup. I’ll just keep adding more and raise it up.
