So i guess they are all Gen2. My understanding is that the fix was made in January 2020 for the issue

Hmmm... thank for checking. yeah, you do have the Gen2s.. don't know about the January 2020 fix. All I was told was the Gen 2 had better LED diodes than Gen 1 and shouldn't burn out. Of course your experience suggests otherwise. =/ Will see in a few months I guess.

I can assure you gen2 LEDs do indeed burnout. Yesterday a friend of mine replaced 17 either burnt out LEDs or showing signs of burning. He replaced most if not all channel 4s LEDs. Even some of the lenses showed signs of discolouration or burning. My V4s are 20 months old. Not good I think you will agree.

Oh wow... yeah, that is bad news! Should have bought Radions back then. Heck, even my $200 Chinese box never had issues with LEDs burning out!
Wonder what LEDs they use in the OR bars and if they also burn out.
I guess I'll just run my Gen2 till the LEDs starts to go again. Maybe I'll find better diodes somewhere... or just toss the whole thing in the trash. Between the subpar LEDs and the crappy app, I'm tired of Orphek.

One of the issues is I didn't even know a few of the LEDs had blown as they look lit when I looked up at an angle to them. It will probably depend on which LEDs that have blown to tell. I bet there are people thinking their LEDs are all fine when in fact a number esp on Ch4 have blown or are in the process of blowing. Probably more so if they only have the one light so no other to compare with.

I checked around to get the 48" blue plus to use till they get the 60" and no one has it. Actually i think the only company that carries them that i can find is saltwater aquarium and they sell out like hot cakes. They are not listed on amazon anymore either. All sold out.

Ok thanks. I emailed orphek. They said they have a OR3 5 watt dual chip available? Anyone heard of this and what's the difference between it and an OR2?
In the UK we have been told there are new models coming g out using the 5w chips soon but as with most things Orohek we aren't holding our breaths. They have been supposedly working on a new program for the gateway to improve it which is well over due.
