Hi.
Just ordered 2 OR3 blue plus.
I have a 8 bulbs t5 fixture. How can I attach them to my fixure? Are there any angle brackets I can use?
Thanks for any idea.

Zak. Which fixture do you have?
If it’s the sun power. The one with just T5s. There are many who have attached them using the brackets that come with the orphan bar at an angle.
If it’s the powermodule - which is what I have as well - I have yet to find anyone who has done it.

Thank you for your detailed response. I appreciate the info.

I do have a quick follow up.
I have ATI fixture with 8 bulbs. I am specifically looking for something that can crest coral color pop.

Essentially - should I wait for blue sky to be released or buy the current blue plus?
Please note - I will be needing a 60” bar.

Please let me know.

Blue plus is mix of Uv violet and blue sky do it wide spectrum . The blue sky is new spectrum very close to the old we took out the 490nm cyan ( look too green ) . Because it around 480nm it very strong at lumen comper to the blue plus . So it will shine your tank and you will get strong pop mostly at the high nm spectrum. It defrent pop more light bright . Read at the beginning you will find an example. I recommends first to buy blue plus , clients report it help to improve colors as well very much then reef day to have full spectrum and if some corals needs something we don’t know then it there :). And there is infra red very important .Emerson effect . After you have both and you want more then add the blue sky . And if you are an expert and know what are you doing add the Uv violet . It look very dim light and not strong . But it a very powerful for corals .

I just added 2 blue plus to my 8 bulb ATI sunpower fixture. I have an 8020 bracket I built and angle them slightly in. They provide a very deep blue effect that is definitely visible when all the t5s are on, and makes an intense blue effect when they are off. Very nice- excellent fixture. I wish the spread was a bit wider, but trying to cover the 36" width of my tank might be asking a bit much.

My fixture is KZ(Korllan Zucht) fixture and has rectangular shape.

Oh- its nothing you would want to emulate- just an inverted flat U that rests on top of the T5 fixture, with a hole drilled in the end that hangs down

These bars are working great. I have 8 of them, 3 Reef Day and 5 Blue+ on a full SPS tank. I switched from an Aquatic Life hybrid with 2 coral+, 2 Blue+ T5 and three Radion XR30 a couple of months ago. My PAR went up and was more even, and, colors have improved. Also, NO fan noise now!
