"For a 250mL solution, use 5 level tablespoons (roughly 115 grams) of CaCO3 powder and add roughly 230mL of RO/DI water. This should mix right about 250mL. The powder will NOT dissolve, it will stay suspended in the water."

but here i wasn't sure about the quantity since he say to make 500gr uses 10tbs and 425/450gr of rodi. my tbs conversion chart says a tbs is 14 to 17g that make 140grams + 425 grams that is over 500grams from there is my doubt. but probably i am not seeing something. ...and must say that in general when i see TBS or Teaspoon or cup i just think about a normal eating spoon or a coffee mug.

Correct, you are not understanding. Forget that the unit of measure and the eating utensil have identical names, just alike saying someone is 6 feet tall is not vague depending on the size of his feet.

Like a liter, a teaspoon does not have a specific weight.

Also like a liter, a teaspoon as a unit of measure is a very specific volume. It is exactly 5 mL. That 5 mL may have different weights depending on what comprises the 5 mL.
