Ordered some pns substrate sauce. I've used that before without issues. No more fritz for me though.

Getting it sorted with rocks at least. Still can't explain literally everyone I interacted with at Lowe's though.

Home Depot has always been the further location for us. We somehow always live within 10 min of Lowe's instead.

It was definitely a wild ride yesterday lol. I'm working today and we're not open yet so should be pretty smooth.

Got the tank just over half filled yesterday. Not sure I want to run the water all day today while I'm not home - hubs will be home but still....

So I moved the ro line during the day to hit the float valve before draining down the overflow. Now that I'm home I'm letting it fill further.

Sand delivers tomorrow.

Sounds like I should be able to get 1/2 my rock the 2nd, possibly all.

Off to work.

Plan for tonight is to turn on the return pump and hopefully be plumbing leak free - if not, fix all that. Once we're leak free the salt goes in.

I had to order some new fittings to make everything compatible with the cade installed fittings, those should arrive today as well so I can get some of that stuff going.

Oh, and sand arrives today. Not sure if I want to hold it until the 2nd or go ahead and put it in tonight/tomorrow after salt is set properly. Rock pickup is the 2nd for at least half of it, possibly all.

Wait til salt is clear then put the sand, don't wait for the rock,tbs rock is uncured going to want to see how cloudy water gets once added...

Water was clear.... Then I added sand.

In other news.....

The wood pile is finally going away

No luck on clearing up by this morning - wasn't expecting it anyway lol.

Sand looks to be a good 1-1.5 inches deep across the entire tank though, I plan to shift some out of the center when I add rock.

Today's plan is plumbing in the reactor and algae scrubber - the different sized pieces I needed to make the hose work the same from the inline tank to the devices came in yesterday and fit perfectly.

I'll test both and make sure they're functioning but only keep the scrubber running for now. I realized I also never mounted my uv sterilizer so that'll be another project to accomplish soon - luckily that won't need to run for quite some time.

PNS bacteria probably ships tomorrow or Tuesday since it's an overnight refrigerated product. I do have my bactoballs and rebiotic that I'll likely toss in and get going anyway.

Going to play with wires and make sure everything is organized into the panel. Run the light cord nicer. Figure out why my mp40 keeps slipping down the side of the tank

Anything else I should be accomplishing today tank-wise?

I'm trying to figure out how much sand I need... How many pounds did you use for your footprint? I used one of the "sand calculators" and it said 220# for me (at 2" deep), that sounds like twice the amount I'd need, right?
