My phone did the same, hold down in the center of blank page and wait for the highlighted words to pop up, then drag the highlight up and down and you can read it lol

I couldn’t see the words either, but I switched to “dark mode” and they were there. I think the font color was light grey but didn’t automatically switch to a dark color font for those using “light mode”.

The light bulb at the top right of the page alternates between light/dark mode. Also most phones will need to be in landscape mode to see that “bulb”.
