Sometimes I tag Reefsquad as a surrogate to Jay because I feel like I tag him too much and I'm not sure if it's really necessary when the thread is already in the disease forum. I try to do it only for more urgent looking stuff though.

Any ideas on treatment?

Hi, some background information would be important here. I see the tang is breathing a bit fast and has some growth on its head, but as they say, the devil is in the details.

How long has it been like this?
Is it still feeding?
How long have you had the fish?
Did the growth show up gradually over time or all at once?

Here is a link to other possibly helpful information to know:

It is new, just had it in bucket acclamation to qt tank.. Breathing calmed down after added to qt. After some research figured it could be Lymphocystis.

Oh, and eating and swimming fine. Treated with a formalin dip and copper in qt. Looking healthy other than the lympho on its head. Probably brought out by stress of shipping.

I’ve never seen a hepatus tang develop Lymphocystis there, I suppose it could happen, but I think it could be something else. If you can get is picture from a different angle I might be able to tell better.

I treated with pimafix and the growth is now gone. Maybe a fungus of some kind.
