Can I leave refrigerated food out for a few hours to auto feed my dragonet? How can I tell if he’s eating pods or the prepared foods?

i have a biota bred dragonet. I want to auto feed him and I have a GHL 2.0 doser for it, a magnetic stirer, and connected all the pumps to a mechanical timer. The only concerns I have left are as follows:
1) I am feeding a mixture of Can O Cyclops, Hikari Baby Brine Shrimp Eggs, and BRS copepod powder. If I add them to a dosing reservoir (Coral Box reservoir) can they remain at room temperature for half a day or a day?
2) should I use salt water from the tank, or RODI water? I am currently contemplating freezing RODI water and then adding cubes of it to keep the refrigerated foods cold.
3) how can I tell if he is actually eating prepared foods or just picking at the pods? I definitely don’t have enough pods for long term sustainment, but I’m not sure if he’s still just going for them while he’s tiny. Here’s a video after I added the mixture of food:

TIA
