I got 15+ frags from a mushroom leather coral yesterday and I rubber band them to rocks.

I didn’t cut the stalks on the original leather, I don’t know if these leathers will attach to the rocks in a week like google says they would...because there’s no stalk!

Would it be a crime to not remove the rubber bands, or should I be patient and wait for them to attach? How long should I wait because I’m gonna be so disappointed if I take out the rubber bands in a week and they just fall away.

Yeah, it'll just grow over the rubber bands eventually. I snip them as much as possible, then leave it alone.

I always do...it cracks and falls away after a while. If it bothers you, you can clip it as soon as the leather has a foot hold on your frag plug.
