Hello. I would appreciate your guidance on this. I have just placed saltwater in the waterbox 100.3. The tank has in it Caribsea life rock and the Arag- Fiji pink sand. It’s been 2 days, but the water remains cloudy. I have a Nyos media reactor. Can I start it with just Carbon to help clear up the water and put in the filter socks, just temporarily to help clear up the water. Once the water clears, I would remove them and then start cycling the tank. Thanks

It is probably dust from the sand/rocks. Carbon wont help that at all. Putting the filter sock in wont hurt a thing even while cycling. Bacteria will go right through a sock.

I wouldn't worry about it. Cycle the tank and it will clear.

Welcome to reef tanks. Patience is key.

Did you put those little water clarifier the sand came with? That should help
