Trying to plan out how to get the saltwater from the 65 gal container to either my awc container or to the tank when I do bigger water changes. Can I use a regular hose? Is the metal on the hose ends okay or

not a good idea? I know there are food safe hoses but this is saltwater (right side)

Most big box home improvement stores carry vinyl tubing. That is what I prefer to use and what most hoses made for the aquarium hobby are made with.
But do they have connectors like hoses? Or sell plastic connectors?

I few years ago I bought a 25" drinking water safe hose ( Lowes) and replaced the metal hose ends with plastic ones.

This is what I use. Python water change system. 3/4" connectors like a garden hose. You can just order the fittings you need also on most aquarium sites. Petco or Petsmart have options too. The Lee's brand works great. The tubing is more flexible than other brands from my experience.

Okay, cool and thanks for all the suggestions. I might even have some fittings I used to adapt my phython. Will check them out.

I’ve seen those and wanted to try them but have never trusted them to be leak proof.
