Can I use Current USA Orbit Marine LEDs as a refuge light?

Hey everyone,
I’m finally in the market to purchase some AI primes for my 29 DT to replace my Current USA Orbit Marine LEDs and set them aside as back up lights, but I was thinking if ai could use them as refuge lights. Could I do so? What color spectrum do I need for a refuge?

What kind of macro algae are you using?
Chaeto is full red and white.
Dragon's breath I am told loves blue light.

I just have cheato… but I was thinking about making the refuge more presentable by adding more macro like seaweed and red ogo.

My Chaeto seems to like the blue.

You most definitely can. I use to use a flood light years ago.
Used a AI hydra last year and got the best growth I have ever gotten between many different lights, I bet the usa would be great.

The lights should work for the demands of the algae you plan to keep as well.

I have a 20gal. Qt tank now half full of cheato. I hate to throw it away, but grows great in refugium under main DT.
