What do you keep your parameters at? Lights? Feeding?

Last readings below:

Alk: 8.1
Ca: 420
Mg: 1350
No3: 5
Po4: .08

My alk has been pretty solid between 8 and 8.1, which is the parameter I try to keep most stable, followed by po4.

Any tips or tricks to get my SPS to grow like that?
Well I can’t take all of the credit, ASD Rainbow Milli is a good growing piece. But like all other sps, good light, flow and nutrients. Don’t starve your tank, sps need to eat too.

I concur.

I have found that this particular A. millepora (I guess A. millepora in general) requires a LOT OF light (based on my experience typically in excess of 400 mmol/m2/sec PAR) and flow to grow fast. Here is the growth history of mine:

December 2016

July 2017

January 2018

June 2018

After the last photo had been taken, I fragged the colony and restarted again with a small frag. However, I placed the frag in another location with much lower light (i.e. less than 300 mmol/m2/sec PAR), the frag has not much progress so far.

What your secret?
