This is a bit of a strange one. This, I believe it is a neon green birdsnest, has come fr nowhere. 3 months ago there was nothing in this spot at all.
6 months prior to that there was a large birdsnest that I relocated as it was in prime acropora position and taking up too much room. I can only think that it has left a polyp or two behind.

Old pics I posted from a 3 month progress update:

My video shows my tank when it started and then what it looks like 1 year later. I went from bare to almost so full I had no room left on rocks in my 96x30x24 tank.

Right around 3:10 shows the tank before and then of course 1 year later.

Stability of parameters wins imo.
Tank is only 8 months old.
Good flow, good lights,
Filter sock, good skimmer, carx , bare bottom, good trace elements and no water changes has been my success.
Last and important feed fish 4 times a day.
Feed fish 4 times a day.... You think that matters a lot?

My greatest acropora success (some would say only success)
My garf bonsai, 8 months growth.
I even managed to knock a piece off by accident and frag it so that is also my best fragging success.

Nice. I tried to get one of those from TSA but was not fast enough. Maybe sell me a frag after your colony is mature....

Can’t show true potential though as I have fragged it a couple dozen times
That is an awesome looking colony. What is it?

Is that realistic expectations?
I'd say so.
But I'll add that this was a cheap no name frag, but realistic yes. And I think it was my first frag getting into SPS corals. Wish it was a Vivid's Confetti or something lol, but it doesnt usually work that way.

Nice coral, house, tank, etc. I use those trace elements and I don't have growth like that. 75 gallon total volumn, 2 400W MHs, 2 420mn T5s, 2 460nm T5s.....

If you don’t do water changes are you dosing something to make up for elements that are in the salt that you get when you do a water change I don’t do water changes either but am starting to think i should
