Nice haul. Stability, light, flow, and nutrients are all very important.I bought all these from TSA. I hope they grow fast.

I'm not sure. You can rent a PAR meterI'd like to hear what lights too..I have 2 kessil a160 on 65 gal..(36in wide)
100% intensity color maxes out at 30..keep it blue..all zoas and softies..wonder if someone's growing sps under them
I only run ati and change only every 12 months.Coming up on 6 month mark to replace bulbs.
Normally get 2 ...
... And 2 ....
Is there a better option?
There was a BRS study re ATI T5 bulb life and it went on for 2 years and they help up about 80% or more!!!I only run ati and change only every 12 months.
Some go even longer. They hold par for longer like at least 18 months but I buy a bulb a month and spread out the cost.
Yes I saw that and may go 18 months as well. No par meter yet but looking to get one. 4" off the tank has worked well and I am sure par is good due to growth rates and color. There was a BRS study re ATI T5 bulb life and it went on for 2 years and they help up about 80% or more!!!
I change between 18-24 months
"photo-inhibition levels"Looks to me from your data sheet that you're about to have a growth spurt. Nitrate/Phosphate are stabilizing and within normal SPS range now.
You run halides so you prob want make sure nitrate/phosphate don't drop lower than recent ranges. Same for your alk.
On that subject, Im a fan of MH, but that seems like an absolute ton of light for frags in a tank that size to me.
Idk how hard/expensive it would be to try but I would consider picking up a used 250w ballast and a Radium bulb or two if you don't start to see strong growth now that your nutrients are stabilizing and within range.
I know your only running MH for 4hrs a dy, but you might ask in the lighting forum if you're getting close to photo-inhibition levels.
Which are close to 420nm?I only run ati and change only every 12 months.

Also i run all bulbs for 9 hours. Actinic get 9.5 hours. 15 min before and after mains are on.

Actinics are 420nm. Blue plus has a high 420 peak with high par.Which are close to 420nm?
