I have 2 tanks at home, 1 is my main tank and the other is a smaller frag tank. I have 3 K7s on my main tank and thinking of buying another K7 for my frag tank. I want to cheap out and not buy another controller for the frag tank and just use the existing remote I have. Im thinking of turning off my main tank’s lights, program the frag tank’s light and turn the main tank’s light back on after Im done.

Do you think this will work? Does the lights itself have internal memory to store their programming or its all relying on the remote?

You can controller your main tank as K7 program, the other small frag tank use P1802 program. It can separate control two program.

I was told I couldn't do this when I asked this question about a month ago. How exactly would you use the P1802?

Sorry give you the wrong answer. Actually the controller P1802 almost are the same function with K7. It can control K7. each controller can control 16 LEDs, and each controller can set two program/shcedule, the one is K7, the other one is P1802. The controller's P1802 program not only use for hybrid P1802, you also can use on K7, even though you dont have hybrid P1802.
