This red algae grows incessantly! On both the live rock and sand, and eventually into a kind of film that can be seen in the photo with the urchin. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

Nitrates are low so it's not that, I dose 5ml NO3PO4X daily, other water parameters are good, I have a red star fish, bristlestar, sea cucumber, sea hare (rarely seen!) Hermit crab, peppermint shrimp, boxer shrimp, pencil

Well in the last photo, that’s definitely turf/hair algae that is covered in cyano. It looks like you’ve got a whole medley of algae issues to be honest.

This is cyano, some of us would be interested in more details about the system. tagging @Dan_P
It's unusual for cyano to so thoroughly dominate every surface like this.
Give us as much detail about the system as possible, we might learn some things.
Tell us about all your inputs (food, additives, dosing etc)
Does all the red blow off the rocks? or do you have red wiry/hairy algae under the red sheets and films?

What a frustrating situation! A couple points of interest for cyanobacteria watchers:

1) looks like a young system
2) carbon dosing with ethanol containing product
3) presence of macro algae, possibly stressed by carbon dosing
