My son asked me today what the little red growths are in the tank. I did some research and I want to say it’s coralline but I’m not confident. Something tells me it’s not a good thing in the tank but maybe I’m lucky? Can you identify the red/rust colored stuff growing? It’s all over the place and it’s starting to grow off the rock almost like montipora.

Some type of Macro Algae...does not look like anything bad I've seen pics of. You probably have nothing to be worried about. Are they thin leaf like growths? I had the same type in my sump at one point and they are harmless and most likely beneficial. Not Coralline either....

Well I took a bit off and here’s one on a paper towel. Pretty small. Not easily removed and certainly not able to be blown off. Feels a little rubbery so guessing it’s algae. It’s prolific throughout the tank.
