Can you recommend a fine tune adjustment device for skimmer venturi air intake?

I'm looking for a 3/8 ID barbed valve or some type of a reef safe clamping tool that will allow me to fine tune the air intake on my skimmer's venturi in order to improve the foam head. I'm not sure a ball value will be optimal for this since they are for on/off/macro adjustments. I've also come across negative reviews for various 3/8" ball valves that I found online (handle sticks/hard to turn, valve leaks, etc.).

I'm hoping someone here has good experience with something that will work well and can recommended where to get it.

I saw that one on BRS, but they don't have it 3/8" size, which is the ID of my venturi tube. I could probably add one of the 3/16" fitting on the silencer intake side, but I was not sure if it would create too much air restriction with the valve fully opened.

I cant remember what piece of equipment this was on. Came with a piece i bought from a local reefer. All i can do is direct you to him. Its basically a reverse soft air stone and knob. Lol.
I think it was on a skimmer. An air pump driven airstone skimmer. Gosh wish i could remember stuff.
