Hi everyone! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Also Happy New Year!!!!! I haven't updated my build thread in a while. I added a 3-4 inch Juvi Emperor Angel a couple of weeks ago. I always wanted to raise a Angel from Juvi to adult. So here I go....lol...

I also traded in several of my Acan Colonies because Angels can't resist fleshy LPS corals IMO. From my experience Euphyllias have been pretty safe. I will see how that goes as he grows from a juvi to adult. No other new fish added. Same stock as before, including my 13 craxy Wrasses....LOL! Here are some pictures I just took a few minutes before ago.

Hi peeps!!!!! I haven't been updating my build thread in a while.....not much has been happening. Have a beautiful juvi Emperor i bought over a month ago. Also I got a small Potters that a lady traded in to my LFS because he ate her zoas....she had him over 6 months....so I jumped at that. Also traded in my large Acan colony to my LFS for a Aussie gold torch coral with 2 heads. Here are a few pictures.....

Hi! So I bought 20lbs of life rock and made a pillar, and also have a large rock arch. I really love that life rock. All of my rock but those pieces are live rock from my old tank and my LFS. Any new rock will be life rock for sure. Here are pics.....I am still working on my Aquarium photography skills. LOL!

Sure....here you go.....have a Reef Octopus 202-s skimmer, Reef Octopus Vario S-8 pump, and a clear water algae scrubber. I have live sand in the front compartment of the sump. I use 4 Red Sea filter cups instead of filter socks. I put one bag of Chemipure Blue in each cup.

Interesting, I was curious as to how you plumbed the algae scrubber

I have seen many different ways of installing, I am contemplating on getting one. Since installed, have you seen a noticeable drop in nutrients?

Yeah I love my scrubber. Very easy to install....took about 5-10 minutes to install. It keeps NO3 under 10ppm (I feed a lot because I have 17 fish). The scrubber helps less with PO4. I have found it is the most helpful with NO3 though. It grows algae like crazy. I harvest one side each week, and do the opposite side the next week. I just took some pics of the scrubber plumbing. Hope that helps. Also I use a 350gph pump on it. I just bought a cheap one for the scrubber on Amazon. I bought two....one for a back up. It was like 15 bucks a piece! LOL!

That’s dope, I just setup the clarisea and hard plumbed it. Today is the 7th week since installing the biopellet nitrate reactor (BRS advised to wait minimum 8 weeks)

I am at a cross roads to buying a algae scrubber, and if I do.. how do I plumb ya know?

Nice!!!! Nice job on the plumbing! How do you like the reactor so far? The scrubber does take up a bit of room in the sump...so that is a consideration for sure.

id move the nitrate reactor out, and I guess make a platform for the scrubber? any ideas?

Yeah that would work. We bought this board off of Amazon....worked great. Here is a link to it if you want to check it out. That way you don't have to make your own. It fits perfectly!

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) Sheet, Opaque Off-White, Standard Tolerance, ASTM D4976-245, 0.500" Thickness, 12" Width, 24" Length

Hi guys! I have not updated my build thread in a while. A couple of weeks ago I lost my favorite fish....my Red Coris Wrasse! I had him for almost 7 years. He was only a tiny 1 inch Juvi when I got him. So I have been really bummed. I could pet him and hand feed him too.

I know most of you can relate. Here some of last pics! RIP my little red guy! The first pic was a week before he died, and the second one was a little over a year ago.
