Oh. Portuguese man of war. There are thousands of them on the windward side of the island. I’ve had my fair share of stings with them. Not fun.

Yeah, I’ve never been stung, but I’ve heard that those things pack quite a punch compared to the majority of jellyfish.

Yikes! Once was enough for me, wrapped behind both knees.... I can see where it would be a hazard of the occupation there for sure.... There were hundreds blown up on the beach. I am sure I would end up with more stings if I lived there!

I hate those things. As a surfer I've had them sting me plenty, including having one's tentacle wrapped around my neck & face. Not super awesome

Ok on we go ,, today’s pic is a 300 plus lb Thresher Shark, which was released without harm but maybe a little stressed the video is sweet but a pain to post

Couple pics taken from video of his tail,, the tail of a thresher shark is same exact size as his body// so a 7ft shark is really a 14ft shark
