I envy you. Enjoy the view!
Sometimes the schedule gets to u especially when it’s rough out which is 85 percent of the time during winter,, the worst part is my hands freeze n go numb then hurt but it’s even worse when they start to warm up at end of night,, sometimes the pain is so bad I want to cut my fingers off mostly my left thumb. But then I get paid and it’s all worth it the pain goes away

My grandfather was a commercial fisherman on Lake Erie. He took us out in the winter a few times. All I can remember is COLD!!!! I was maybe 5yo at the time

Moving on to a new island and hotel tomorrow morning. I spent the day driving around Tahiti doing the 'tourist' thing and not snorkeling.

Then while cossing the bridge pictured below, which is part of the outflow from the hotel's lagunarium, I stumbled on to something surprising.

The rocks with only several inches of fast flowing water over them, had no less than 6 large Heteractis magnifica anemomes on them.

Doh, I so wanted to get my underwater camera and climb down there to get some close shots, but time will not permit it. Besides, I would probably make the news as 'the crazy tourist that got sucked into a grate and drowned', lol.

The last time I saw one of these in the wild was 4 years ago off the coast of Moorea. Every visit since then, I have Iooked high and low for one and nothing. Then I find them flourishing in the ocean equivalent of a ditch! :)
