I'm adding a dedicated small refugium for growing cheato. Instead of plumbing a new water inlet, I'll be feeding the hose coming from my chiller to the refugium. When chiller is running, it's 5 degrees(F) lower than tank water temperature. Chiller goes on every 30-60 minutes and runs for about 10 minutes. Is this constant fluctuation in temp significant enough to affect growing cheato?

It may but I can't say for certain. I would plumb as you are planning and then report back your observations/experiences so that we all might know...

Just got some cheato in and installed a light on the fuge. Will give it some time and see how it works out...
