Chemical warfare? Mushrooms and zoas

Interesting observation I wanted to run by you guys for suggestions. Almost everyday, for about 2 or so hours after my lights hit near peak intensity, a few groups of zoas (some on bottom) and my spikey mushrooms distort as shown below. At about midpoint in the light cycle (still at peak intensity) they all relax and open wide (for 4 more hours at peak intensity), looking very healthy the rest of the day. I would think this is light related except it’s only been going on for the last few weeks without any changes to light settings, and it’s even impacting mushrooms and zoas low on sandbed. I run 2 ai primes over a 3 ft tank using BRS spectrum but at 75% of the intensity they recommend.

Parameters;
sg: 1.025
Alk: 9.0 (working to lower as have had stn issues which I suspect are due to
Low nutrients)
Nitrate: .5-1 ppm
Phosphate: .05 ppm
Mag: 1350
Cal: 450

I also have bubble algae issues and red flatworm....not sure that those things would be a contributing factor.

Mushrooms doing that are normal, I had some do it every night-others never. Not sure about the zoas though. I’ve seen grandis and other brown variations do that.
