Thanks Fishy Guy! It's actually in two pieces. I'm wondering about gluing it together in the tank?
As long as it's stable I'd leave it separate just in case you ever needed to remove them. Your equipment list looks awesome, all high-end stuff.

I am super excited for it to come in! The RODI should be here tomorrow, I'm going to start cycling the marco rock soon after I get it set up. :D

Are you going to build a mixing station?
Maybe? I have the space in the basement. Do you have a good link about a mixing station? Right now the plan is to put 2-PVC chaces into the wall behind the tank and down to the basement. One will connect the the house waste line for water changes and the other to house smaller supply lines, one to pump new salt-water up and the other new RODI for top off.

I Built a frame out of pvc to mimic the tank. This was very helpful for visualization. One tip I picked up from the helpful videos compiled by Daniel@R2R.

I think that I've settled on a final design for my aquascape. I'm ready to use mortar for strength. There may be a few small tweaks as this happens. One change for sure is the flat piece in the front right corner will be replaced with the pedestal seen to the left of the tank frame.
Enjoy this 38 sec video. I will likely do one more final design video before the pregame soak and cycling stage.

Okay These are almost ready to soak. I'm looking for a vote between layout option A and option B. I'm leaning toward B, but would really appreciate any feedback.
Here is a 30 second video of option A.

Here is a 30 second video of option B.

Still frame pics of each are below.

Definitely B for me. The column up front in A is interesting now but once coral is growing in B is going to show it off so much better.

Finally starting the pre-cycle on the rocks. The bucket was rinsed with vinegar then tap water followed with saltwater. I bought some live rubble from the LFS to throw in with it. Most of the aquascape fit into this bucket with 30 gallons of saltwater. Temp 78.8, lights on for 9 hours, and a small power head. Now the waiting starts in earnest.
First a rinse with the hose and a blow-dry with the leaf blower. Then a warm saltwater bath with Turbo Start 900. :)

Today I was able install the passthrough for the future auto-water changer. Even though I won't be getting the Apex controller for several months, it will be much easier to run the usb-cable and tubing for it now. PXL_20241110_225532489.jpg I made one little mark on the wall. Haven't decided if I will fix it or not. I mean it wiiiill be behind the cabinet.:thinking-face:
I had a helper in the crawl space. Fuzz saw me in and out safely. She's a good helper.

Next up, build the stand for the mixing station.

Exciting! I just got notice that my tank will be shipping this week! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: The initial set up will happen either just before Thanksgiving, or just after Thanksgiving!

It has been awhile since my last update. Here's the progress. I was able to get the water lines and aquabus data cable run from the tank location to the basement as well as hook up the RODI unit before my LFS delivered and set up. They have set the tank, sump and mixing station up. Because we are travelling so much they will come back on the 23rd to fill it, test for leaks, and set up the rest of the equipment. The rocks will have been in cycle for ~10 weeks at that point, so we will add 2-3 fish after Christmas. We should be setting up the Apex and auto-water changes in Feb.
It's getting real exciting around here!
A shout out to #Frags2Fishes here in Wilmington DE for working with me and doing a great job!
Here are some pics.

The mixing station that is going to make my life easier! Many of those cords to the left will be removed. They are supporting my cycling rock.
