I have puple carpet algae in my fish only tank. How do I get rid of it.tried chemiclean and that didn't do anything.I have 3 tangs and a rabbit fish and they really don't care for it!!!!

Look up hydrogen peroxide dosing for fish only tanks. Not for tanks with stony corals. I'm not sure on the dose or I would let you know.
