A/C is not necessary in Mexico, however the tank temperature could easily go over 80 F so I got a chiller doing the job coupled with my Apex.

Could you possibly define well placed in the canopy?? I didn't have problems keeping my 220 cool but I just installed a Pentair 80W UV and the temp has been climbing steadily for days now (only at 79.6 now but it's creeping up)
I plan on putting two more PC fans in my canopy on top of the one but do I need to piint them at the water? Or just have them blowing air into the canopy!

When I first designed and built the canopy, the fans were blowing from the top straight down.
Canopy original fan position.jpg

It helped some but not as much as expected. So I started to experiment with their placement. Once I put them in the back blowing between the lights and the water surface there was a substantial difference.

Easier to see what I'm talking about in the planning stages.

No air conditioning, no chiller, don't like the salt spray from a fan. I just float two or three frozen bottles of water two or three times a day.

Summer finished a few weeks ago, still running the chiller as I type it's just come on, barely comes on at night now, the second summer in October and November it'll be working hard again, hopefully a decently cool winter will follow.

I've got a mobile ac unit bearing the brunt of the temperature difference and making the rooms actually liveable during summer, and if it ever gets so hot that that unit doesn't cut it anymore I have a big fan sitting on the ground that will blow away any piece of paper not pinned down across several rooms, doing evaporative cooling for multiple tanks and for me
