I always use dither fish for hard to acclimated fish. Young clowns are the best. They eat everything and not reclusive or aggressive. I have so many clowns that take one or two put in the QT system is very easy for me.

she's in my 40 gallon breeder post QT observation type tank with rock and sand, but she just doesn't eat well despite me trying anything i can find. the only other fish in there with her is an azure damsel so not much on the dither fish front. i feel like she ate well when i had her in QT with a solon wrasse (who died) so i think i'm going to move her to my DT today.

i was hoping to fatten her up in the observation tank as i worry my flame angel will be less than accommodating to a new fish, but she just doesn't want to eat stuff, even live blackworms are barely picked at. hopefully the busy tank will help her learn to eat a variety of foods

oddly enough nobody seems to care she rolled in. not even the flame who actually seems kind of scared of her lol

she didn't eat, but she's pecking at the rocks like crazy, but it's also now more apparent to me how skinny she is. all my other fish look like vintage chris farley compared to her :p

man yours is nice and fat. mine is definitely skinny and even in the DT hasn't ate much. she's at least picking at the rocks, although still spending decent amounts of time at the surface.. idk. i've thrown every food i can find at this fish with just very little response. not sure what else to do other than hope she warms up to food. can't say i'm too optimistic long term

She is looking good, healthy with a big stomach, meaning she will do very well for you.

Yeah I think she will do well. When I brought her home she wasn't fat but the conditioning tank she is in was without fish for awhile and crawling with pods. I released her and she went crazy eating them all immediately. She didn't even try and hide. She is eating frozen and live black worms now.

I find that my really hunt small bristle worms too. Pull them out of the sand and rock and gore on them.

Only some wrasse can be keep in group. I think this is one of these. I like to keep mine in breeding units if possible.
Mine pair do not interact much, but they are both still females.

I got mine for about 35.00. Less with discount from Petco.
You can get them at LA right now for 34.99 each plus a 15% discount going on until the end of March. Live arrival only no 14 days warranty.
