I can ask the salt water manager to order pretty much any fish I wanted, within reason. None of these expensive or rare fish but she is pretty good otherwise.

I think I make a mistake. Only the first picture is that of my larger wrasse the other three pictures are pictures of the smaller one. The marking if slightly different

Will the China Wrasse be OK with a Birds Nose Wrasse. I have an opportunity to get one.

I never keep a Bird Nose wrasse but China wrasse are mellow. I hand a numbers of wrasses and none ever have problem with China Wrasse.

Here is a picture of my pair. The male is more colorful in real life. Patel color of the tail is really hard to capture, and the color on the anal fin is brighter.

That’s quite a bit of change in the fin color in just a month. He’s beautiful and chubby!

Wow!
Really makes me want to try and pair mine.
Just picked one up. Its a little over half the size of my current one. Also got a regal, copperband, and skunk tilefish. Will hopefully have pictures soon. Wish me luck

Yup, they’re all doing well so far. The Regal is eating fresh shucked clam. The Tilefish and China Wrasse are already eating frozen. The Copperband has been eating all my feather dusters and other microfauna off the rocks.

I got home today after a long week at work and see my Male China wrasse courting the female. The glass was dirty, and the light is going down. I just have to grab a few picture of my beautiful wrasse in his Nuptial suite. I eventually will get better picture of him but this is all I have right now.

How long after adding the smaller female did your bigger one start to transition? Did you notice any aggression over food or territory?
Mine occasionally chases the smaller one away from food.
