I just bought a used Innovative Marine Nuvo series 40 gallon AIO aquarium and noticed that there is a small chip in the corner. It doesn't look very deep and I was wondering if the aquarium is safe to use? It doesn't leak. I am thinking about gluing the chip back on with a clear epoxy. What do you guys think? Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for the reply. Here are some better photos. I cleaned the glass, but there is still a little bit of dirt underneath the chip.

hi,i cannot zoom in,seems to be like 4"tall ,not really liking pic #2 ,but need other opinions..:)
@F i s h y @MERKEY @ScottR @vetteguy53081 ? thoughts?
The very last picture looks like there are additional fractures in the glass. I would be worried about those failing over time. It might not be next week or next month... but it would always be in the back of my mind. If it were me... that one would become a reptile tank or scrap glass...

I am concerned of the structural integrity of the tank and feel it is high risk to use
I believe one more stress point and under water pressure it would give way

the second pic has me concerned and looks like the glass is broken all the way through, if so it shouldnt be used and they sold you a broken tank. Sorry to say, this situation just sucks

Thank you everyone for replying. I really appreciate it!

That is such a bummer. I should have taken a closer look at it before purchasing it. The reason I didn't look closely for chips in the tank is because the guy I bought it from had the tank filled with water and running for what looked like a long time, he drained it the day I bought it. There were tons of little critters living in the back!

On the brightside it came with a skimmer, new uv sterilizer, and a mightyjet return pump. Those cost more than what I paid for the tank.

Oof yea that sinks. Definitely wouldn't use it, the chip doesn't look bad but looks like its cracked from there right through. Thats a wet floor waiting to happen. At least you have some other gear!
