I used to have a thread going 10 years ago and I decided after that long break to make another one. Feel free to ask me anything as I document the tanks journey.

75g with a fiji cube drop in box. So no sump and a super simple setup. I will post my older tanks when I have more time.

Here is a recent pic at night under all blue leds.

On my older systems I used to run sumps and I did like them. However, I had a few leaks over the years, clogged over flows, snails in the drain pipes etc. it made me scared of leaks because my tank is on a top floor.
I had saltwater come through me ceiling lol.

I don’t like how small the skimmer chamber is in the Aio I have or others I have seen. It limits you on buying a decent skimmer. But other then that I like it and it seems to be working well.

Here is some pics from around 12 years ago of my 50g tank. I actually really loved this tank. It makes me miss t5 lighting.

Great job! What are your alk and nutrient levels, and how much/what do you feed?

Alk was 8.8 as of today and calcium was 440.
I keep my mag kinda high around 1440. I find montis love high mag, and I am keeping mostly montis in this new tank.

I don’t test my nutrients that much anymore. I did send out an icp test a week ago so I will post the results when that comes in. I think my base rock was leaching silicates it phosphates for the first few months. I think they are fully cursed now as I don’t have anymore algae growth on the rocks.

Took a couple of top down pics when I was done feeding corals. It’s cool to see a different angle of the tank.

Man, that was a sweet tank! T5's sure did grow some coral back in the day!
