I love all the information on reef2reef. I just finished setting up an old 400 gallon plywood tank that I restored. I'm in the process of creating a replica of the Christ of the Abyss. After months of searching the World Wide Web, I found a close replica. It has been treated with a clear coat and is now installed in the new tank. There are only three in the world: Key Largo, Florida, San Fruttuoso, Italy and now Plant City, Florida!! Hah. I'm looking for suggestions on some corals and aquascaping. I guess I should post more information about the set up.

This looks cool!

I would build a rock structure in the middle to elevate the Jesus Christ statue up higher than the sides. Not all the way to the top but just higher!

Or leave it like that. It looks cool either way.

Love it and the idea. Start a build thread and tell us more so we can help with the suggestions you're asking for. It'll also give you a place to keep track of it and show off your reef. Welcome and hopefully you enjoy it here.

It all started with this free damaged plywood tank. I decided to repair and give it the old college try. All the equipment is used from my old tank or I purchased all additional items on Craigs list. I set a budget of $3,000. Not too bad for a 400 gallon tank and fish room.

Drafting the base to elevate the tank. The tank will be in the garage enclosed in the new fish room and viewed from the dining room area.
