This snail came with some kind of clam on its shell, any idea what it may become?

it is a clam. The ridges on shell indicate it whereas by valve more of a scallop shell.

i wonder how it will turn once the clam get too big to remain on the shell, will it detach to settle elsewhere ?
Sadly no, it will continue growing till the snail eventually dies of natural cause or isn´t able to move anymore due to the effort of carrying the clam. Probably first. Snails don´t live that long.
