Has anyone figured out a good way to drop and sk5000 into a trigger 39 sump. I have one now and will be upgrading with my new tank. I am trying to figure out the best way to drop the unit it with the least amount of mods to the sump.
If anyone had had luck let me know how you did it.

I have not done it but researched it. If you don't want to hack your sump the only option you have is to put it in the skimmer section. All other options are cutting out braces and filter sock framing. That is for a Trigger CR44 sump. None of the filter roller aftermarket option will fit into the filter sock chamber.

Interested to hear how other people solved this for sure!!!!

Sorry, I just read back this is quite dated.

I ended up ordering a Trigger Platinum 39 to have the roller filters and picked up a bubble king mini for the set up. It’s going out in the garage to be in closed.
That’s the project coming up.

What are your thoughts on the platinum 39? Seriously considering this for new build. Thanks. -Tom

I have had it in about a month and the only thing that upsets me........... is that I didn’t do it sooner.

so far everything has been great, plenty of room, roller works great, and quality is solid.
