It’s very easy to install, as long as you don’t mind making permanent adjustments to your sump. Cutting out the existing stock holders with a razor blade is the most annoying part as it takes a good half hour to do. You’ll need a 32mm to 1" Metric to Standard PVC Adapter to convert the stock drain plumbing to standard for the Clarisea assuming you’re in the US as well.

Love mine though, lasts 6-8 weeks a roll. Albeit my water gets a little too clean :)

Yep, additional union just for ease of removing it. I always try to add unions where I can with hard plumbing since I’ll likely need to use them someday. Be sure to add your own gate valve and ditch the terrible Red Sea valve that comes with the tank. The stock valve never stayed consistent for me...

I’d also watch the YouTube videos for building the actual ClariSea, it’s a bit tricky to tell what’s being asked on the included instructions.

One wrinkle here: I have an additional drain coming in near the Red Sea drain that I added for my frag tank. Looks like I’ll need a solution for that.

thanks for the info. It was helpful.
