Hello,

I am getting ready to set up my QT with copper.
I heard I am suppose to remove the rocks from there and just utilize my HOB for my filtration.

I can use PVC for shelter.
Can I leave a clay pot in there?
Also.. do I need to remove the carbon that came with the HOB?

If the carbon isn't reef spec id remove it, unless its a hob meant for a reef tank. The clay pot will absorb copper so imo take it out. The hob is basically for surface agitation to oxygenate the water any bio media will be useless. Even some mechanical filtration will absorb the copper so I would just run it with filter floss and chuck the floss out after the treatment period.
