I started my reefing hobby back in August and have been looking at Algae Barn for clean chaeto ever since. It's now a few days to Dec and they still don't have any in stock. Are there any other trusted sources for clean chaeto?

I wanted to add chaeto in the sump for nitrate & phosphate control. Are there any other macro algae anyone can recommend to me? I know @AlgaeBarn sells a ton of different algaes but none of their descriptions tell readers what each algae is useful for.

Thanks in advance!

All of their macroalgaes will help with nitrate and phosphate. The only one I personally am not a fan of is ulva since it breaks apart so easily. I have bought several types from their site and have been happy with them. The main difference between them is growth rate, growth pattern and looks, and what they can tolerate (some can tolerate less light, more rapid swings in salinity, etc)

Chaeto will be your most popular, but we a have a few others. The fastest growing that we sell will be the sea lettuce https://www.algaebarn.com/shop/macroalgae/clean-sea-lettuce/ This can also be harvested and use to feed herbivore in your display. ~Shaun K.

p.s. we have some amazing black Friday deals happening right now as well https://www.algaebarn.com/coupons-a...5Xjqa4z6ZnrwQXW6gnxG2rULP0oPIANCW1vBHozX_JL0w

Nice I don't know how I missed the description for this one. I was looking at the other cooler looking macro algaes.
What's the light recommendation for this in a sump? My sump doesn't have any lighting yet.

I would recommend an AI Prime Fuge light or the chaetomax light from innovative marine :)
