Hey guys. My tank is cycling and I noticed this weird thing growing on one of my live rocks. It’s spreading into a bigger area but it’s not getting longer. And also it retracts like an aiptasia when u touch it. Check the photos >>> first is before I touched it with a spatula. And the second is after. What are they????

It’s called chrystaphytes. Can be scrubbed off with a toothbrush and hydrogen peroxide.
Add a pouch of chemipure blue to help control after cleaning rock

My tank is only 2 weeks old. Do I have to get rid of them or should I let it run it’s course? Maybe use something like vibrant??

You can place a dab of Gel super glue over the opening and it will be gone
