Anyone have an idea what this is growing on my Clove polyps and green star polyps? Looks string/tube like. I didn't have this before and I look this morning and boom. It's on my green star polyps. I've seen it on my Clove polyps but thought that's how it spread out. I used a turkey Baster to suck it out and it feels soft and broke into baster. Any ideas what this is?

Poriferan sponge known as ciliate sponge
Can be evasive. Use a dental pick or small crochet needle to lift off and discard
Best done in a container of tank water

My Clove polyps are pretty much stuck in place amd green star polyps are glued to back wall. Can this be done in the tank and will this stuff spread and stick all over my tank if done in tank?

Will this kill my corals if not taken care of aswell? My apologies for all the questions. I just never had this in my tank before and was like WHOA!

Being evasive, will smother them in time

Well this stinks. I have no idea how it got there. Maybe already on a couple corals and I didn't notice until recently. Hmmm.... thanks for your quick response.
They hitchhike and favor dark or shaded areas
