anyone have any success with this stuff? i've had a frag of about 15-20 polyps for over 2 years, and never does anything.

every now and then, it will suddenly sprout out some runners and 2-3 polyps, but then just as fast it stops growing...guess they just dont like my tank. :(

they definitely dont look like that picture anymore though, i just cant get a feel for what kind of conditions they like.

i think i have around 8 polyps left, all look like crap. non are fully expanded and all th stalked are encrusted with a hard red algae like shell.

The trick is to get 2nd generation cloves. I had recieved some orange with green cloves from Jcigars and they took about 3 months until they really took off. Now I have a 10"x 5" rock covered. I tried wild ones a while ago and they perished. But the the aquacultred ones are growing like crazy!!!

i have had good success with my different clove polyps-for some reason though cloves seem to be on the menu for a lot of other critters in my experience with them. Mine are in decent flow actually and show a lot of growth-they are easily over taken by algae around the base as well as bacterial infections though

i have some that hitchhiked in with some lunars, they are bright green, not just the centers but the whole polyp. i have them in high light and flow, they are multiplying pretty well, i've got at least a dozen started from 1 less than a year ago.

I agree with the high light and flow and mine thrive!
